Hi Lightseekers, as many of you know, our initial print run of Mythical boosters featured 1 Hero in every 4 packs (and one Mythic Hero in every 60 packs). Based on your strong initial feedback, we moved quickly to change the Hero pull rate in our second print run to 1 Hero in every other pack (and one Mythic Hero in every 24 packs). That means every booster box now includes at least one Mythic Hero. These new booster boxes just hit our warehouse on Thursday. We’re currently working with our distribution partners to swap out their first print run booster boxes with new boosters from the second print run. This may take about a week or so to complete, so we appreciate your patience as these new boxes find their way into your local game store.
To identify if a Mythical box is from the second print run, check for a white sticker on the back of the box, in the bottom right corner. It is important to note that the Wave 2 on the front of the box refers to Mythical being the second Lightseekers set, and not to it being the second print run of the set; so make sure to look for the sticker.
As mentioned in our last post, we’re going to provide regular updates related to ongoing Lightseekers product development. This month, we’re going to address the status of reprints in Lightseekers Wave 3. We’re always eager to hear (and respond to) your feedback, so please let us know what you think of the changes we’re planning to make.
Based on the feedback we received from you about our Mythical expansion, Lightseekers Wave 3 has substantially fewer reprints. In fact, the entire 291 card set only features only 8 reprinted cards in our booster packs. That means more new cards in every single booster pack! Keep an eye out for future updates to get some more hints as to what these reprints might be (We’re pretty sure you’ll enjoy them)!
Our original goal behind reprints in Mythical was to ensure cards were available for newer players, as well as to introduce the new symbol on the left of the cards. We are now looking into other ways that we can deliver these reprints without affecting our booster sets; we’ll have some more on that in a future update.
As mentioned earlier, it’s very important to us that we get your feedback on what we’re doing so that we can keep improving. If you’d like to reach out to us, you can do so via Facebook, Twitter or by emailing contact@lightseekers.cards. Look forward to seeing you with next month’s update where we start discussing the set structure and mechanics!
