Theorycrafting is a vitally important part of playing TCGs and it is ultimately what allows you to have the best deck and be the best player you possibly can. Anthony, from the community team, will share some tips and tricks in this article on theorycrafting around a specific card.
One With Nature is a permanent combo buff that increases power by 2. This effect can allow us to do some interesting and creative things with cards from all Orders and in this article, I will point out some of the best cards One With Nature can be used with.
Astral
With the increased power, Anti-Gravity Snail suddenly becomes a much more powerful card. Anti-Gravity Snail normally allows you to do 2 damage and draw a card face up, if the cards are not Gravity then deal an extra 2 damage. With the increased power, the card changes to 4 damage and draw 3 cards face up, if the cards are not Gravity then deal an extra 4 damage. If you are running a Nature deck with just a few Gravity cards, chances are that you will get the full 6 damage.
Dread
Assassins Guild is a card which gives you an additional 2 actions with no stat restrictions. With the increased power, Assassins Guild instead gives you an additional 4 actions with no stat restrictions. Due to there being no stat restrictions, you are not limited to playing cards based on your Elements and superior Elements so this could allow for you to play lots of very strong cards all at the same time across Nature and Dread.
Mountain
Mountain is a very strong Order already with a lot of big damage and good card draw. Using the increased power of One With Nature, you can turn some good cards into some great cards! An obvious card to use with the increased power would be Ancient Miner: on its second corner you would get to draw 3 cards instead of 1 and its third corner would let you draw 4 cards instead of 2 giving you a lot of card draw potential from just a single card. However, if card draw is what you are looking for, then there is a better alternative. Focus Chamber is a Defend card that will normally allow you to draw 1 card and increase this by 1 if your opponent played a combo that turn. Focus chamber also will allow you to move 1 action buff into play which ignores your superior Element restrictions. If you use One with Nature alongside Focus Chamber it will allow you to draw up to 4 cards and move 3 action buffs into play with no element restrictions. This is certainly a very strong card to use for a lot of card draw!
Nature
As One With Nature is a Nature card there are a lot of very strong cards in Nature that benefit very well from the increased power. Root Singer is a Defend card that allows you to move 1 action card from your discard pile to your hand increased by 1 if you have more buffs in play than your target. With the increased power, this card can potentially allow you to move 4 action cards from your discard pile back to your hand. This gives you the ability to bring back and reuse some of your strongest action cards over and over again, creating some devastating combos.
Storm
As Storm is a very Combo based Order, the benefits it gains from having an additional 2 power don’t allow for a lot of immediate effects. However, when paired with Storm Whisperer to increase damage and healing of combos by 4 instead of 2 or with Suspicious Squid to create some possible deck milling opportunities by discarding the top 4 cards from your enemy’s deck when you play a combo, it suddenly becomes very strong. These effects can also be stacked by having multiple Suspicious Squids or Storm Whisperers out at once.
Tech
Tech is a slightly harder Order to use with One With Nature as a lot of cards in Tech do damage to you as well as your opponent so using extra power is just a bad idea. There are, however, a few cards that do benefit majorly from One With Nature such as Dugout Sentinel. Dugout Sentinel is a permanent buff that at the start of your turn allows you to draw 1 card if you have a combo buff in play. As One With Nature is a permanent combo buff, playing Dugout Sentinel along side it allows you to draw 3 cards at the start of every turn before even using any of your actions. This card draw can obviously be stacked by having multiple Dugout Sentinels allowing you to have loads of cards to play with each turn and not having to worry about wasting actions to draw.
As you can see, there are some interesting theories behind One With Nature. We obviously still have to look at the other side of the story as One With Nature is only a buff and can easily be removed by your opponent however, the chance is there to have some great fun with this card in a deck.
These are just a few of the ways you can use One With Nature to create some great decks and really strong combos. Now is when I hand over to you to see what decks you can build using this card and how effective you can make it!
